A local<br \/>attacker could use this to cause a denial of service (system crash) or<br \/>possibly gain administrative privileges. (<a href=\"http:\/\/people.ubuntu.com\/~ubuntu-security\/cve\/CVE-2016-10088\">CVE-2016-10088<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Jim Mattson discovered that the KVM implementation in the Linux kernel<br \/>mismanages the #BP and #OF exceptions. A local attacker in a guest virtual<br \/>machine could use this to cause a denial of service (guest OS crash).<br \/>(<a href=\"http:\/\/people.ubuntu.com\/~ubuntu-security\/cve\/CVE-2016-9588\">CVE-2016-9588<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Andrey Konovalov discovered a use-after-free vulnerability in the DCCP<br \/>implementation in the Linux kernel. A local attacker could use this to<br \/>cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly gain administrative<br \/>privileges.
