A remote attacker could possibly<br \/>use this issue to cause nginx to crash, resulting in a denial of service.<br \/>(<a href=\"http:\/\/people.ubuntu.com\/~ubuntu-security\/cve\/CVE-2016-0742\">CVE-2016-0742<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>It was discovered that nginx incorrectly handled CNAME response processing<br \/>when the resolver is enabled. A remote attacker could use this issue to<br \/>cause nginx to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute<br \/>arbitrary code. (<a href=\"http:\/\/people.ubuntu.com\/~ubuntu-security\/cve\/CVE-2016-0746\">CVE-2016-0746<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>It was discovered that nginx incorrectly handled CNAME resolution when<br \/>the resolver is enabled.
