CES 2021: Dell reimagines work and gaming with new PCs and monitors
At CES 2021, Dell showed off new and refreshed Windows 10 PCs and monitors to help you work smarter. They do so by being more intelligent, secure and sustainable – whether you’re back at the office (or never left), home or in a hybrid environment. Among the products are 5G powered PCs and Microsoft Teams certified displays that help unlock enhanced connectivity and collaboration, commercial PCs built from bioplastics and built-in low blue light and security technology.
The Latitude 9420 comes with a powerful built-in speakerphone and camera enhancements that provide automatic light correction and background blur so you can feel confident in any video call. Get to work faster with Intel Visual Sensing Technology for auto wake and lock, safely logging in via Windows Hello and stay connected with WiFi 6E or 5G LTE. Advanced thermals and the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processors with the Intel Evo platform provide increased performance and simplified manageability. It’s expected to be available this spring, starting at $1,049.
If you’re looking for larger screen sizes, the Latitude 7520 now comes in a 15-inch screen and provides a 4K UHD display and optional full high-definition (FHD) camera. It’s expected to be available January 12, 2021, starting at $1,949.
If you’re spending more time than ever before on video calls and chats, the Dell 34 Curved Video Conferencing Monitors could make collaboration easier and more efficient. It’s the world’s first 34-inch curved video conferencing monitor certified for Microsoft Teams and also available in 24-inch and 27-inch sizes. The monitors feature secure facial recognition sign-in and hands-free commands. They’ll be available worldwide from Feb. 16, starting at $519.99, $719.99 and $1,149.99.
Dell’s commitment to sustainability spans design, performance and recycling. In the new Latitude 5000 series, this goes even further, as these are the first PCs to use bioplastic from tree waste in their design [1].
The lids – the second heaviest part of the device – contain 21% bioplastic content. Dell estimates these design changes will reduce CO2 emissions equivalent to those created by driving 24.2 million miles (more than 971 times around the Earth), save enough energy to power 5,564 average homes for a year and conserve enough water to fill 226 Olympic-size pools [2]. All of Dell’s new commercial PCs and displays are ENERGY STAR certified and EPEAT Gold and Silver registered.
On the gaming front, Alienware updated its thin and powerful Alienware m15 R4 and m17 R4 laptops. They come with next-gen NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs that have been engineered with 12-phase graphics voltage regulation for rich marathon gaming sessions, up to 4TB of storage and faster memory speeds – up to 2933MHz. These on-the-go battle stations will stay properly cooled thanks to purposefully managed airflow and vapor chamber technology included in every configuration – a new advantage of the Alienware Cryo-Tech cooling technology designs in the R4 generation.
Prefer to play on desktops? Check out the Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10, now featuring AMD’s latest Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processors with up to 16-core processors and your choice of new AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT series graphics or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics. Whether streaming, blasting through game levels, or tackling heavy-processing applications, this device can handle it all and stay cool with an innovative airflow design and vapor chamber technology that dissipates heat and gives players an extra boost when they need it most.
