보안성 높은 재택근무 환경을 위한 AWS 아키텍처 구성하기 팬데믹으로 인해 재택근무는 일상화가 되었습니다. AWS의 CISO인 Stephen Schmidt의 AWS re:Inforce 2021 기조연설에 따르면, 팬데믹 이후 재택 근무자는 114% 증가했고, 재택 근무자가 직접 장비를 갖추는 사례가 59% 늘었다고 합니다. 이런 상황은 기업 보안팀에게는 재택 근무자의 단말기에 일관된 보안 정책 적용이 어려워지고 보안 정책 적용의 누수로 이어져, 새로운 보안 위협으로 대두되고 있습니다. 이 글에서는, 기업 보안팀에서 재택 근무자의 인터넷 트래픽을 제어할 수 있는 AWS Client VPN과 재택 근무자의 단말기에 일관된 보안 정책을 적용할 수 있는 Amazon Workspaces를 통한 가상 데스크톱 업무 환경을 구성하는 아키텍처를 두 단계로 나누어서 알아봅니다. 1. USN-5073-2: Linux kernel (GCP) vulnerabilities Maxim Levitsky and Paolo Bonzini discovered that the KVM hypervisor implementation for AMD processors in the Linux kernel allowed a guest VM to disable restrictions on VMLOAD/VMSAVE in a nested guest. An attacker in a guest VM could use this to read or write portions of the host’s physical memory. (CVE-2021-3656) Maxim Levitsky discovered that the KVM hypervisor implementation for AMD processors in the Linux kernel did not properly prevent a guest VM from enabling AVIC in nested guest VMs. An attacker in a guest VM could use this to write to portions of the host’s physical memory. (CVE-2021-3653) Norbert Slusarek discovered that the CAN broadcast manger (bcm) protocol implementation in the Linux kernel did not properly initialize memory in some situations. That’s 30 days dedicated to help and encourage people to translate the software and its related resources. One of the highlights is a series of exciting core global events, starting on September 17 2021 and finishing on the United Nations’ International Translation Day itself on September 30, 2021. Everyone is welcome to watch these events live on YouTube and to share their translation stories which will be featured during the celebrations and beyond. The global events will be in English and include presentations on how and why to you should join the thousands of translators in the project, tips and tools, interviews, and much more.
