Intel debuts 13th Gen Intel Core desktop processors Gaming, streaming and recording get a boost with the latest addition to the Intel family: the 13th Gen Intel Core desktop processors, led by the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K. This branch of the family includes six new unlocked desktop processors with up to 24 cores, 32 threads and clock speeds up to 5.8 GHz. You’ll start seeing these processors on Windows 11 PCs, such as those from Alienware and Acer. Building on the Intel 7 process and x86 performance hybrid architecture introduced in the 12th Gen Intel Core lineup, these desktop processors enable better system performance than ever – even through the most demanding of multitasking workloads. This includes up to 15% better single-threaded performance and up to 41% better multi-threaded performance. Find out more at Intel. Source: Intel debuts 13th [ more… ]

USN-5643-1: Ghostscript vulnerabilities It was discovered that GhostScript incorrectly handled certain PDF files. If a user or automated system were tricked into opening a specially crafted PDF file, a remote attacker could use this issue to cause GhostScript to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code. This issue only affected Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. (CVE-2020-27792) It was discovered that GhostScript incorrectly handled certain PDF files. Architecting Zero Trust Security for Kubernetes Apps with NGINX

2022-09-27 KENNETH 0

Architecting Zero Trust Security for Kubernetes Apps with NGINX The sophistication and number of cybersecurity attacks is growing exponentially, creating significant risk of exposure for your apps deployed in on‑premises, hybrid, and multi‑cloud Kubernetes environments. Traditional security models are perimeter‑based, assuming that users are trustworthy (and the communication among them secure) if they’re located within the environment’s secured boundaries. In today’s distributed environments, the concept of a safe zone inside the perimeter no longer exists – communications originating from “inside” the environment can be just as dangerous as external threats. In this blog, we explore the benefits of adopting a Zero Trust model to secure your Kubernetes infrastructure and how NGINX can help improve your security posture. What Is Zero Trust? Zero Trust is a security model based on identity rather than location. It assumes that any request for access to [ more… ]
