Festival of Ages brings Ranked Seasons, the Content Editor beta (and Mods), Seasonal Events, Major Balance changes, as well as lots of quality-of-life changes. Sleeping tabs in Microsoft Edge: Save even more resources with recent updates Sleeping tabs in Microsoft Edge are designed to improve the memory and CPU usage of the browser. To save system resources for better speed and responsiveness, Microsoft Edge will put tabs to sleep when you haven’t used them for a while, and then wake them as soon as they are clicked. Beginning in Microsoft Edge 100, we’ve updated sleeping tabs to enable pages that are sharing a browsing instance with another page to now go to sleep. With this change, 8% more tabs on average will sleep, saving you even more resources! On average, each sleeping tab saves 85% of memory and 99% CPU for Microsoft Edge. Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22593 Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22593 to the Dev and Beta Channels. TL;DR We’ve received a lot of feedback from Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel about the desktop watermark. It is normal to see this watermark on your desktop after updating to the latest pre-release builds. It does not change the licensing of your device. But please note that these are pre-release builds that do expire so it’s important for you to stay up to date with the latest builds we’re releasing. This build includes only a handful of changes and improvements but includes a good set of fixes that will improve Insider’s overall experience on their device. Living in the Pacific Northwest, as the snow begins to melt and the landscape brightens, I reflect on what a privilege it is to live in such a beautiful place. The theme for this year’s global Earth Day is “Invest in Our Planet,” and I believe it represents such an important reminder for us all – to invest.
