Compat2021: Improving CSS Grid compatibility with GridNG With next month’s release of Microsoft Edge 93, we’ll be releasing a rewrite of CSS Grid 1 module (“GridNG”), which substantially improves compatibility with other implementations of CSS Grid and addresses one of the top compatibility pain points for web developers. In this post, we’ll share more about the rewrite and what you can expect to see in Edge and other Chromium browsers. You can try the updated implementation today – just install the latest Microsoft Edge Beta build, and please report any issues you find in Chromium’s bug tracker! Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.120 Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.120 to everyone in the Dev and Beta Channels! Changes and Improvements We are introducing a new Family widget for MSA accounts! It is available in all Windows languages and regions. It allows you to see recent activity from members of your Microsoft family group. We are beginning to rollout notification badging for the Chat icon on the Taskbar. Not everyone will see it right away at first. Made some adjustments to improve how the close button looks like in the Taskbar preview windows. When changing backgrounds for Desktops, even if Settings is already open, using Choose Background via Task View will now force Settings to move to whichever Desktop you’re actually on. The people behind Windows 11: Listening, solving problems and designing with purpose As a kid, Charles Taylor was always interested in tech – though he didn’t know exactly what that meant, beyond translating to a job related to computer science. Growing up in Littleton, North Carolina – an actual little town with less than 700 people – he went to school with the same group of about 60 kids through high school graduation. He would be one of the first in his family to attend college. Taylor went to Duke University.
