Introducing the next feature update to Windows 10: 21H2 While we are excited for the next generation of Windows with Windows 11, we are also focused on supporting the more than 1.3 billion monthly active devices on Windows 10. Today, we are introducing the next feature update to Windows 10: Windows 10, version 21H2. Windows continues to play an important role in people’s lives as they continue to work, learn and have fun in hybrid and remote environments. Our goal is to provide new features and functionality via a fast and reliable update experience to help keep people and organizations protected and productive. Version 21H2 will continue the recent feature update trend of being delivered in an optimized way using servicing technology. Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.71 Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.71 to everyone in the Dev Channel! Changes and Improvements We’re introducing a new entertainment widget! The entertainment widget allows you to see new and featured movie titles available in the Microsoft Store. Selecting a movie will direct you to the Microsoft Store to see more information about that title. Just open widgets and click or tap on the “Add widgets” button and choose the entertainment widget. The new context menus and other right-click menus have been updated to use acrylic material. We are testing the usability of a SplitButton for making new folders and files in the File Explorer command bar. How to opt-in to the Extended Stable release cycle option beginning with Microsoft Edge 94 In March, we announced that Microsoft Edge would be moving from a 6-week to a 4-week release cycle cadence to deliver more innovation to users and organizations, faster. For most users, this means receiving and enjoying our latest browser innovations on a more frequent basis. Organizations though might experience this change differently due to the complexities of testing, deployment, and maintenance.
