IFA 2019: Razer announces ‘world’s first gaming ultrabook’   At this week’s IFA tradeshow in Berlin, Razer announced their new Razer Blade Stealth 13 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics, which the company is calling the “world’s first gaming ultrabook.” Powered by Intel’s new 10th Generation processor, it packs gaming performance into a thin 15mm chassis, weighing only about two pounds. Users can also render 3D models on the go. To optimize battery life and to ensure the right balance between power and productivity, the Razer Blade Stealth 13 GTX Models feature NVIDIA Optimus technology. You can choose from one that has Full-HD or one with a 4K UHD touch display. Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 18970 available now! Today, we released a new Windows 10 Preview Build of the SDK to be used in conjunction with Windows 10 Insider Preview (Build 18970 or greater). The Preview SDK Build 18970 contains bug fixes and under development changes to the API surface area. The Preview SDK can be downloaded from developer section on Windows Insider. For feedback and updates to the known issues, please see the developer forum. For new developer feature requests, head over to our Windows Platform UserVoice. Things to note: This build works in conjunction with previously released SDKs and Visual Studio 2017 and 2019. You can install this SDK and still also continue to submit your apps that target Windows 10 build 1903 or earlier to the Microsoft Store. Update on removing Flash from Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer In 2017, we published a roadmap to remove Adobe Flash from Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer by 2020. Since that post, we announced our intent to build Microsoft Edge on the Chromium open source project. In this post, we will provide an update on what to expect for the Flash retirement in Microsoft browsers. Here’s what you can expect for each Microsoft browser: In the next version of Microsoft Edge (built on Chromium), we will continue to retire Flash in the same timeframe as other Chromium based browsers. You can learn more of that timeline in this blog post. Flash will initially be disabled, and the user will need to re-enable Flash on a site-by-site basis; Flash will be completely removed from the browser towards the end of 2020. Group [ more… ]

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18970 Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18970 (20H1) to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. Insiders will see a Cumulative Update Build 18970.1005 (KB4518974) offered at the same time as well. We are testing our ability to service a build at the same time it is released. The result for Insiders should be that they are on Build 18970.1005 after completing these updates. IMPORTANT: As is normal with pre-release builds, these builds may contain bugs that might be painful for some. If you take this flight, you won’t be able to switch Slow or Release Preview rings without doing a clean-install on your PC.
