Windows 10 Tip: Search, shop and learn through the photos you take with Visual Search  Last week, the Bing team launched new intelligent Visual Search capabilities, built upon the visual technology already in Bing, which can help you identify things like landmarks, flowers and animals and help you shop for clothes and home furnishings. You can even get search results for similar-looking images, different dimensions of the same image, and links to other site(s) that use the same images. It’s available today on both iOS and Android devices – try it through the Bing app for iOS and Android, the Microsoft Edge app on Android and Microsoft Launcher on Android. Introducing WinAppDriver UI Recorder A new open-sourced tool is now available for the Windows Application Driver (WinAppDriver) community: the WinAppDriver UI Recorder tool. This tool will enable users to easily create automated UI tests. For those of you not familiar with WinAppDriver, it is a UI automation service for Windows 10 that users can use to test their applications. We recently released our v1.1 preview that you can read more about here. What is UI Recorder For many in the WinAppDriver community, Inspect has been the most common tool for users to select UI elements and view their attribute data. Though Inspect serves its intended purpose of viewing accessibility data, it falls behind when it comes to supporting scenarios specifically for UI automation, such as being able to generate XPath queries. Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 17692 available now!

Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 17692 available now! Today, we released a new Windows 10 Preview Build of the SDK to be used in conjunction with Windows 10 Insider Preview (Build 17692 or greater). The Preview SDK Build 17692 contains bug fixes and under development changes to the API surface area. The Preview SDK can be downloaded from developer section on Windows Insider. For feedback and updates to the known issues, please see the developer forum. For new developer feature requests, head over to our Windows Platform UserVoice. Things to note: This build works in conjunction with previously released SDKs and Visual Studio 2017. You can install this SDK and still also continue to submit your apps that target Windows 10 build 1803 or earlier to the Store.
