Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 14965 Released Today, we released a new Windows 10 Anniversary SDK Preview to be used in conjunction with Windows 10 Insider Preview (Build 14965 or greater). The Preview SDK is a pre-release and cannot be used in a production environment. Please only install the SDK on your test machine. The Preview SDK Build 14965 contains bug fixes and under development changes to the API surface area. If you are working on an application that you need to submit to the store, you should not install the preview. The Preview SDK can be downloaded from the developer section on Windows Insider. With holidays approaching, along with some of the busiest shopping days of the year, we wanted to slow down and highlight a small business called Further using Surface Pro 4, Windows, Office as well as pen and touch to keep their sustainable, premium business running smoothly. Megan and Marshall Dostal’s innovative business started out with their plan to collect waste oil from restaurants to make biodiesel. The primary bi-product of that process is glycerin, and that’s the key ingredient in soap. SHA-1 deprecation countdown The SHA-1 hash algorithm is no longer secure. Weaknesses in SHA-1 could allow an attacker to spoof content, execute phishing attacks, or perform man-in-the-middle attacks when browsing the web. Microsoft, in collaboration with other members of the industry, is working to phase out SHA-1. We have outlined our timeline for SHA-1 deprecation in earlier posts, most recently in April. This post is to clarify some of our most commonly asked questions, and to help you test ahead of time. Starting on February 14th, 2017, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11 will prevent sites that are protected with a SHA-1 certificate from loading and will display an invalid certificate warning.
